Aguas Sagradas, a 88 acres of magic tropical organic farm, is located at the end of the road in the Diamante valley. Most people think of an ecovillage as an off-grid, food self-reliant community of idyllic cabins in a rural or remote place. But fortunately it takes only 45 minutes to reach Aguas Sagradas from the San Isidro. Aguas Sagradas is a heavenly place where the human community is bonding with the Earth in a manner capable of healing the devastation of the past and inspiring a new grandeur for the future. Aguas Sagradas shows how across the world millions of people are actively resisting the process of destruction of nature while simultaneously creating Eco friendly villages to live a healthy and conscious life. This place is full of great landscapes and is an incredible experience.

Nauyaca falls

Costa Rica Nauyaca waterfalls They have an easy hike to Nauyaca falls  and a horse trail to the ocean. The waterfalls were absolutely breath taking. Locals help you up climb up the waterfall and show you how to jump off into the water if you are a thrill-seeker. Adventure lovers as well as the nature lovers will find this place perfect for walking, climbing, swimming, and capture beautiful photos to make a lifetime memory. They can spend amazing time in one of the stunning place of the South Pacific ‘Rio Barucito’. During the rainy season ( July – November) the river is too high to drive over, so people need to park and cross by foot bridge.

The Diamante valley is spectacular. This place is a paradise for the birdwatchers and the people who want to explore the amazing beauty of the pristine valley and spot several species of wild animals. Here you can also enjoy the cool mountain breezes and temperate climate while living conveniently between the beaches of Dominical. The farm is tucked away high in a mountain valley and reaches down to the fertile river low lands. With beautiful meadows, hillsides, views, food growing places, fruit and flowering trees, plentiful pure water and air,  it is  an ideal, practical place for an Ecovillage. This is one of the best ways to see the incredible Diamante Valley, Costa Rica’s best kept secret.

Blessed with 5 springs, 2 year round creeks, and the gorgeous Baru river  with waterfalls running thru it, Aguas Sagradas is a full self sustaining Eco village. They offer guests use of cabins, or lush jungle tent camping. Their rates vary depending on if our guests volunteer, or work trade, or are family friends or guests of community members. If you you are looking for an chance to be an active part of the exciting and rewarding time in a sustainable Eco village, Aguas Sagradas offers a 20 hour per week volunteer exchange to cover basic food. They do  offer discount rates as well for both guests and volunteers during the rainy season, which is from the months of May -Nov.
