Tours and Amenities

Mary Selva is a superb starting point for nature and adventure centered activities. It is a playfield for those looking for a real up close experience with the ecologically gifted South Pacific region. Patrons can undertake a huge assortment of nature based activities such as forest canopy tours (for enjoying tree top canopy views of the lush rainforest), hiking along rough forest paths and rugged mountain trails for a true-blue natural adventure, surfing, scuba diving for all levels, action packed sports fishing, horse backing, swimming, a mangrove exploratory tour, a tour of the region’s spectacular  waterfalls, guided trips of rainforests and the area’s national parks (including Manuel Antonio, Corcovado, Ballena Marine). Further recreational pursuits in Mary Selva’s vicinity are dolphin watching tour, birding tours, several eco tourism activities (to give back to the community), exciting white water rafting, ultra light flying, swimming  camps and yoga camps.

The lodge’s in-house amenities are a mix of comfort, convenience and low-key appeal, and comprise of a tiny souvenir store, an open dining area, a small meeting room (equipped with a huge television screen), an expansive balcony (offering enchanting views of the lodge’s beautiful surroundings, a large and relaxing 25 meter swimming pool and a huge laidback space for allowing patrons to let their hair down.

Accommodations

Accommodation at the captivating Mary Selva retreat is in the form of ten comfortable, spacious and smoke free bungalows, which are also well-appointed, nice ventilated and brightly lit. All rooms are tastefully furnished and sport a simple appearance, while still being comfortable and plush in a natural way. Every bungalow is equipped with a ceiling fan, an air conditioner, mini fridge, in-room safe, wireless internet, satellite television, hair dryer, private bathroom (with hot water) and maid service. Each Mary Selva bungalow has a nice private balcony (with some chairs and a coffee table) for allowing guests to capture majestic views of the surrounding rainforest. The bungalows are all mesmerizingly encircled by fruit trees and a verdant secondary jungle.

Every bungalow can house about 4 persons each. Six private bungalows are housed within Mary Selva’s and most of the come equipped with queen size beds and Futon. A single exclusive bungalow comes king sized bed and Futon. Apart from this, there are a couple of bungalow pairs (four bungalows) that which can be transformed into a large unit for families and groups since these bungalows have a shared door.
