Accommodation:
Pirate Cove Hotel offers three types of accommodation facilities-bungalows, cabins, air conditioned rooms and all of these accommodations are available at the same rate but with difference in style and facilities.
Bungalows:
Bungalows are the most popular housing option at this hotel. These bungalows are constructed with polished wooden floors, sturdy fabric walls but instead of tent flaps. Each of the cabin has a door and screened windows. In each of the bungalows there are private bathrooms including hot showers. There are ceiling fans, one double bed or two single beds with orthopedic mattresses. Outside of each room you will find a small terrace with chairs and hammock from where you can enjoy amazing beauty of the surrounding.
Cabins:
These cabins are perfect for those families or couples who want more privacy. In these cabins you will get one double and three single beds, ceiling fans, lots of storage space. There are private bathroom with hot shower. Outside of the cabins there is private terrace with hammocks and deck chair where you can spend relaxed time with your favorite book and also can enjoy the amazing Pacific Ocean and Drake River view.
Air Conditioned Rooms:
These rooms are set on the second floor of the main building. Walls and floors are pine clad and there are windows that offers stunning garden views and don’t have balcony, private bathrooms and the showers are quite unusual. From these rooms you will not be able to enjoy ocean view.
Meals:
In the hotel dining area you will find five long tables and here you will not find the gourmet food and the foods are prepared with fresh ingredients. If you have any food allergies or a vegetarian or vegan, it is recommended to inform in advance so that you can have your desirable food menus. Here you will enjoy buffet breakfast that includes fresh fruits, fresh juices, home made bread, good Costa Rican coffee, milk, cheese, gallo pinto (rice and beans), eggs and cereal.
Activities:
Drake Bay is home to about 450 species of birds that make it paradise for the bird watchers. You can join PADI (PADI International Resort Association) scuba diving courses, go for whale and dolphin watching tours, sea kayaking adventure or for sport fishing trips.
