ISLS Teen Spanish and Surf Camp is a Spanish language center and adventure school situated in Playa Tamarindo, in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica. It is authorized by ISLS, Institute of Spanish Language Studies, which is a specialized teen program with a simple goal of teaching Spanish and surfing to teenagers. The institute was established about two decades ago and today it is one of the most renowned and recognized language centers for teens in the world. The camp offers a fusion of educational yet fun filled activities to the kids. Every year, hundreds of parents bring their kids to the camp to provide them a unique experience which is culturally and educationally significant. ISLS Teen Spanish and Surf Camp takes place during summer and winter vacations. The great thing about the institute is that it is not limited to teenagers. People from the ages of 2 to 99 will find plenty of things to do. The camp has a daycare center for kids under the age of 4, the children’s camp for those between the ages of 5 to 12, surf and Spanish language camp for the teenagers and Adult Spanish classes for the parents. Moreover, the institute has two more branches in Turrialba and Playa Dominical on the central Pacific coast of the country.

ISLS Teen Spanish and Surf Camp has a wide number of programs but the best ones are the following:

Teen Spanish Immersion and Adventure Camp

It is an adventure filled program is for teens between the ages of 13 to 17. The course is two weeks long and involves private Spanish lessons, adventure tours to numerous places in Costa Rica such as zip line canopy tours, beach tours, surf lessons, horseback tour to Nayaca Waterfall and much more.

Teen Surf and Spanish Camp

This program is also for ages 13 to 17, and includes a month long course of Spanish and lots of surfing sessions. The Spanish classes are held privately and by the end of the course, students are fluent.

Teen Adventure Travel Camp

The two week course is full of adventures and new experiences. For the first seven days, students spend time in Turriable branch and later in Playa Tamarindo. Maximum of 12 kids acn participate.

Teen Spanish and Surf Expedition

It is a two week camp which involves just surfing, surfing and surfing. Only 11 students can join the program. It includes Spanish classes and surf trips to the famous surf breaks in Costa Rica such as Playa Dominical and Pavones.
